On top of the mountains,
Chilly and blue,
The Goff clan rejoices
As they take in the view.
We each have a favorite,
Place in our heart,
Of travels and adventures,
But right from the start.
Our hearts were knit,
Together with love,
For this majestic sport,
Whizzing downhill from above.
Who is the fastest,
Well, Grant wins that prize,
But Julia can jump,
Nearly sky high.
Kendall is graceful,
As in circles he spins,
While Quentin zips past,
And backwards he spins.
Mark is a jet,
I'm clean-up crew,
Every once in a while,
I have to pick up a few.
But falls and spills,
Are part of the fun,
Thank you, Lord, for the joy,
Of such family fun!

Our Happy Place...Breckenridge, CO
January 18-29, 2012
We're back in Breck, our happy place, enjoying a week of skiing, boarding, and catching up and reconnecting with one another. There has been some unusual weather this week with gusting winds up to 100 mph! So we've yet to make it through a full day on the slopes. Mark has kept his title as Ping Pong Champion at the Mountain Valley Lodge Tournament and he and Julia came in 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Black Jack Tournament with Kendall closing in just behind. We found a new favorite place for date night, Ridge Street Wine where they pair wine and cheese to order. It was a great night relaxing and visiting with an intriguing couple from Long Island. On the drive in, we saw quite a few mule deer and several bighorn sheep. Today we saw a bald eagle flying over Lake Dillon. Very cool, to say the least! Breckenridge is the top of the peak for us! Pardon the pun.
